I had planned to write something else this week, but the words weren't coming out how I wanted, so I decided to share some drawing tips I had lying around instead. I created these for a class I taught at Loyola Marymount University a while ago. The topic was movement; the character is my version of Little Red Riding Hood. I think about these things when drawing and creating characters for animation and my books. Enjoy!
I’ll try and share some more drawings tips in the future. Maybe some behind the scenes stuff from the making of one of my books.
If you’re interested in picking up a copy of one of my books here’s a link to bookshop.org. https://bookshop.org/shop/jamesburks Or better yet pick one up at your local indy bookseller.

Love this! I always struggle to make my action/poses feel more dynamic—these are great tips!
